Town Hall – Nevada 2025 Special Session

The Nevada 2025 Special Session is fast approaching (scheduled to begin on November 13), with two critical bills under consideration. The event will detail the proposed bills, explaining their purpose and impact on the community, and what’s next to stop them.
Crime Bill and Film Tax Credits
Both Lombardo’s Crime Bill and Jauregui and Monroe-Moreno’s Film Tax Credit Bill are sellouts to Nevadans and deliberately prioritize profit over people. We’re witnessing a nationwide assault on our institutions, public dollars being swindled, a rise in racial profiling, and increased military presence throughout the state – our legislators should be de-escalating these efforts, not adding fuel to the fire.
During the 83rd Legislative Session this spring, legislators drastically cut Nevada’s budget, leaving the working class with crumbs. Governor Lombardo vetoed an unprecedented number of crucial bills that would have safeguarded tenants, the environment, and immigrant communities. Now they want to prioritize corporate giveaways.
Join us to tell them enough is enough.
