Indivisible has a target on its back. The regime and its loyal servants have been trying to smear Indivisible and No Kings for weeks. They’ve called us terrorists, communists, rioters, evil. So that tells us, they’re worried. We’ve had to endure a lot of hate and threats based on the allegations of an authoritarian body that has zero regard for the Constitution or the people it protects. MAGA lies are flooding the zone.

Those still drinking the Kool-Aid willingly seem to get talking points because the rage posters and bots use the same memes and language. One thing they’ve been passing around is a secret spreadsheet screenshot that has nonprofits listed and all the money they’ve funneled to No Kings. This was a post a man in Texas made with a long diatribe about Indivisible’s many sins. The condemnation perverted everything Indivisible stands for and read more like a welcome email from MAGA.

Their “Reality” Is Not Ours

So, a member couldn’t just scroll by this all-caps monologue. He advised this wayward soul that to believe what he had written would require a huge suspension of reality. The member went on to describe what Indivisible really is – a pro-democracy movement fighting for equality and to have a government that actually serves the people.

Yes, our target is Trump and his minions, but he’s just one incarnation of the darkness within this country. As the member stood up for Indivisible and explained that he knew who funded our No Kings – it was us, the members and community. Sadly, there is no Antifa checkbook.

The comments on the post went sideways fast, as you can imagine. The poster said he hadn’t lost any rights. Yes, as a white, hetero man, of course, you haven’t lost any. You’ve always had all the rights. The rest of us have had to fight for them, and this tyranny we’re under has seen them get eroded every day.

So, the comments back to the member went the usual way; they became personal and crude. Well, he’s got tough skin as is required to merely exist. So, he simply left the poster with this suggestion: If you want to know what Indivisible is really about, then you should go to a meeting.

Defiant Yet Joyful

Not that this person would, but as we demonstrated on No Kings 2, we aren’t violent, crazed goons dragging mothers out of cars, zip-tying children, or causing chaos. We were defiant yet joyful, and beautifully peaceful.

They fear us so much, even though we aren’t bullies. We don’t intimidate and persecute. They own all that. We’re just out here trying to reimagine what freedom and a functioning government could look like. It does not have to be this way, and only we can change it.

We are Indivisible.
